We are pleased to announce our distribution partnership with Nidek CO., LTD., a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of ophthalmic, optometric, and lens edging equipment. The partnership concerns connectivity between our  RetCAD^TM AI software for eye disease detection and the NAVIS-EX image filing software by NIDEK. This connectivity allows instant screening of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) on color fundus images captured by the AFC-330 and Retina Scan Duo from NIDEK.

We are convinced that the partnership will contribute to making eye disease screening by first line eye care providers quicker and more accurate. With today’s digital color fundus cameras, one or multiple images can be acquired from a patient within seconds, analyzed and presented on the operator’s computer screen instantly. Using deep-learning technology, RetCAD^TM  will automatically analyze acquired images and provide the user with scores and heat maps that indicate abnormalities typical for AMD and/or DR, based on identified disease patterns.
