Release planning and execution is central to Thirona Retina’s continuous drive for improvement in delivering AI assisted medical image analysis. Product Release Management drives our software release schedule and sees to the compliance with regulatory requirements. Once new software is released, the team follows up on post-market surveillance activities to ensure clinical performance meets the highest standards.

In this role you will (not an exhaustive list):

  • Drive Thirona Retina’s release planning and execution cycle in alignment with Deep Learning and Software Development teams, as well as the QA/RA team
  • Own, define and maintain the software release roadmap
  • Instill a culture of keeping commitments in terms of scope and time
  • Own the technical file to obtain timely regulatory certifications, most notably EU-MDR and if applicable US-FDA
  • Own product-related quality management system (QMS) processes and contributes to updating such processes (e.g. when an update of a standard is released or regulations are updated)
  • Follow-up on post-market surveillance activities in coordination with the Software development team

Profile & Competences:

  • Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering or equivalent education
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in Software development and release management
  • Affinity with medical image analysis
  • Affinity with medical regulatory affairs, most notably EU-MDR
  • Strong project management skills in planning and execution
  • Good organizational skills; the ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to explain the impact of technical changes on the workflow to less technical users
  • Flexible, strong ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Drive to continuously improve

Practical information:

  • Thirona counts +/-40 employees with international backgrounds
  • Office location: Nijmegen
  • 32-40 hours workweek – hybrid working is allowed
  • Part-time can be considered
  • EU passport is required for this job position
  • Principal residence within 1 hour travel distance from the office
  • 25 vacation days based on a 40-hour contract, and 8% holiday allowance
  • 8% pension allowance with a flexible pension plan
